Driving to work can be a challenge.
Even with 4-wheel drive, you have to
carry chains. It's worth it, though.
Look: anybody can learn to put on chains.
However, if you don't want to, you can
usually have them put on for you, either in
one of the foothill towns outside the park, or
by guys licensed to do so at strategic turnouts
along the road to Yosemite.
This little inconvenience is what keeps out the
throngs, and you'll find yourself in a crowd-free
Yosemite with Nature at her best!
